MORE DURHAM CONCRETE | MILBURNGATE HOUSE | JULY 2016

“Basically there are hundreds of people who say the building who will not be missed, and perhaps one who doesn’t want it to be demolished.”

Roger Cornwell, City of Durham Trust earlier this year.

Possibly correct, & just as possibly not, so made a timely visit to Milburngate House ahead of the upcoming demolition. The new business / leisure development apparently "will do justice for Durham". Lets see how that goes.

Milburngate House was completed in 1968, serving as a county council municipal building & the regional passport office, which it still in use to this day. The rest of the site is empty & awaiting the final clear out....
